About Me

I have been teaching at Gold Rush Charter School for four years. I have taught English 1, Journalism, Film Appreciation, Public Speaking, Yearbook, and Algebra 1. In the Spring I assist with the STAR Testing. For the past four years I have produced a show for public access television about Gold Rush Charter School.

Prior to teaching at Gold Rush, I taught Film at the University of Southern California, California State University, Stanislaus, and Columbia Junior College. I received a Master's Degree in Cinema from USC, a Batchelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University and received my high school teaching certificate from the IMPACT program at the San Joaquin County Office of Education.

My accomplishments in schooling is something that I worked very hard to earn. At Rutgers, I was a member of the English Honors Society; and when I took the Teachers Placement Test (which allow rapid advancement through the credentialing program) my scores helped form the baseline for the State of California.
