About Me

I have been blessed with over 35 years of experience as a public school speech pathologist. I graduated from San Jose State University and have been licensed through the state of California. SP #2882. My career started in Tulare County in Central California working with elementary through high school aged children. Later I worked for Santa Clara County Schools with Junior High and High School aged children and the special school autistic program population. After marrying and working as a teacher for the communicatively handicapped at a high school in Cupertino Ca. my husband and I moved to Washington State for 10 years. I enjoyed working with the preschool program there targeting toddlers at high risk for language delays as well as elementary through high school aged students.

After moving to Sonora in 1999, I started working for Gold Rush Charter School shortly after it was started. I enjoy working with the variety of students who attend school and the challenge of assessing, planning and carrying out a language or speech program that fits the individual needs of referred students. The smaller class size and smaller caseload allow me to spend more quality time with each student.
