About Me

I am the Special Education teacher for Gold Rush Charter School. I have taught Special Education for grades first through twelfth. I have also taught general education for grades first through eighth and reading first through twelfth.

I got my B.A. degree through San Jose State University; my M.A. degree through William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in Special Education; an M.A. degree in Reading through George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia; and my Administrative Credentials from California State, Stanislaus and St. Mary's College located in Moraga, California.

When I am not in school either teaching or learning, I have many different hobbies that keep me busy. Quilting, kayaking, writing, cooking, and gardening are all things I love to do for relaxation. I am currently finalizing the publishing of my book Underground Railroad. I am also finishing up a short story book.

Spending time with my family and thirteen grandchildren also keeps me busy. I just came back from my home in Eastport. Maine where I spend my summers. There I enjoyed some kayaking, reading, and doing community activities.

My philosophy in life is simple: To help others less fortunate than I, to always listen to others and not judge, to relax and enjoy others and their opinions and to live to 94 (like I promised my grandson!)
