About Me

I began teaching fifteen years ago, and my teaching experiences since then have covered a wide array of settings ... I have taught in both private and public schools, in classrooms at school sites and in private homes, with students aged toddlers to teens, and subjects ranging from math and science to health and art.

Seven years ago, my first daughter was born, and I left full-time teaching in the traditional classroom setting. Over the last three years I have been working part-time, primarily with students who are schooled at home. The areas I have focused on with these students have been art, hands-on science, and individual tutoring in reading and math.

I am looking forward to teaching Life Skills and Drawing to the students from Gold Rush Charter School and hope to bring to life for them the things I find exciting about art and science.
