Jim Anderson brings extensive professional and performing
experience to his style of teaching rhythm and percussion.
He is very inspirational and brings that inspiration to his
students. His lessons include:
* developing good technique
* learning to read music
* ear training
Students will be introduced to a variety of musical styles
and encouraged to make them part of their playing. This
integrated approach will create a well-rounded drummer and
musician.
He has recorded, toured, and performed on TV with: The
Pointer Sisters, Maria Muldaur, The Cockrell-Santos Band,
Elvin Bishop, The Tom Johnston Bank (original and founding
member of the Doobie Brothers), The Texas Chainsaw Band,
Hearts on Fire, Peter Rowan, Alex Call, Bill Kirchen, and
many others.
Her currently performs with the following bands:
* The Columbia College Big Band
* The Flashbacks
* Crazy Ivan - Tuolumne County's premiere Rock N Soul party
band
* The Club Monkeys - a four piece R & B band
* Waterfall - a small jazz group
